We invite you to visit the quaint and distinctly unique Historic Log Cabin Inn, nestled in the beautiful Laurel Mountains. Here you will catch a glimpse of centuries gone by, as you stay in the area's oldest authentic log cabin (circa 1750). Be sure to notice the chestnut logs, which are documented to be the largest in all of Westmoreland County. See a tree inside the inn, with an incredible half-spiral log staircase, forged as if it were made 250 years ago.
Of course, George Washington slept here and had his horse shod and wagons repaired here, as this was the blacksmith shop and stay over on the Heritage Route between Ft. Ligonier and Ft. Necessity.
There are lots of places to stay on the mountain, but nothing is quite like staying in an authentic, historic log cabin!
Our charming and authentic amenities include:
A beautiful 1800 pot belly parlor stove to warm up by as an auxiliary heat source
